Forgot your password, or want to change it

How to get back in when the password is gone, and how to change it from inside the app.

If you can't remember it

On the sign-in screen, tap 'Forgot your password?' and give us the email on your account.

We email a link that lasts one hour and works once. It takes you straight to a screen where you choose a new password.

For your protection the screen says the same thing whether or not that email has an account, so nobody can use it to find out who banks with us.

Changing it while you're signed in

Open Settings and find the Password panel. Enter your current password, then the new one twice.

If you only ever sign in with Google, the same panel lets you set a password for the first time, so you have a second way in.

What happens afterwards

Every device that was remembered is asked for an emailed code again the next time it signs in. That's what makes a password change worth doing after a scare.

We also email the address on the account to say the password changed. If that wasn't you, reset it again and message us on WhatsApp from the contact page.

A reset link on its own never opens your books — the six-digit code step still applies.
