Your first compliance checklist
A simple, ordered list of what every Nigerian business should have in place before the next deadline arrives.
Start with identity
Make sure your Tax ID is in BizBrada. If you don't have one, tell us and we'll handle the registration with you.
Check that your business type and state are correct in your tax profile — they decide which reports you see.
Catch up the records
Enter today's sales and expenses. Use bulk entry or snap receipts if you have a backlog.
Import any bank statements you have. Even one month is better than none.
Add the people you pay regularly as contacts, with their business type, so withholding tax is routed correctly.
Know what's due
VAT is due by the 21st of the month after you charged it.
PAYE is due by the 10th of the month after you paid salaries.
Company income tax and personal income tax are yearly, and yearly returns need signed accounts.
Pick your filing path
Monthly returns are built for self-filing: review the report in BizBrada and file it yourself.
Yearly returns usually need an auditor or a signed attestation. Use Handled if you want a licensed professional to review and file for you.
You can also invite your own accountant into your workspace at any time.
